Due to the high registration numbers, registration will be suspended until further notice. If you wish to be put on a contact list, please email our registrar. You will be notified once we know if we can accept additional players.
SOMHA is now part of a registration project with Hockey Canada and TeamSnap. We know that there will be a learning curve with this as there are some changes to registration process this year.
To register through TeamSnap, you will need your child’s Hockey Canada ID number. Instructions to retrieve this are below.
- Log into Hockey Canada. If you have never made an account before, you will need to register. If you have forgotten your password, the ‘Forgot Password’ link now works.
- Once you are logged in, click ‘Register a Participant’ button
- Enter your child’s name and birth date, and click ‘Register’ Scroll to the bottom of the page and a box will be there with your child’s name, birth date and Hockey Canada ID

First time players to the Association will pay the early registration fee, however registrations submitted after September 1st may be placed on a wait list until team numbers are confirmed. If you are new to the association and registering after July 1st, please contact the Registrar for a discount code prior to completing your registration.
Players who wish to play in SOMHA, coming with a Residential Waiver, must provide the completed form prior to any participation in any SOMHA on or off ice events. For players in the recreation divisions, once the waiver has been approved by BC Hockey, you will be provided with the instructions required to complete the registration.
Players with waivers who wish to tryout for a SOMHA Rep team will be required to register online and pay the non-refundable tryout fee through the Out of Town player registration form. If selected for the Rep team, to secure the reduced registration rate, the full registration fees will be due immediately. The registrar will provide instructions on how to make payment.
Players that have moved to our area and will be transferring from another association, will need to complete a Move with Parent Form. Transfers can take some time, so you should submit the documentation as soon as possible. Players will not be permitted to participate until the transfer is complete.
Committed to creating a positive hockey experience for all, the South Okanagan Minor Hockey Association implemented the Respect in Sport – Parent Program requirement starting in the 2018-2019 season.
